CEO

Bradley Rabbit is from the Montana First Nation in Maskwacis, AB. He is a Traditional Leader and has a passion for Business and Economic Development. He’s been in Leadership for the past 20 years and has seen the poor economic conditions in First Nations communities across Canada. His own Nation has gone through challenging times economically which inspired him to take steps in building a local economy. He’s observed the barriers and challenges that his people have faced in obtaining employment and economic participation, One of the key highlights of his career was the establishment of a First Nation owned Renewable Energy Company called Green Arrow-Akamihk.

The establishment of this Company has lead to the development of a 5MW solar facility on the Montana First Nation, the largest of its type on a First Nation in Western Canada. As the Montana First Nation grew in the renewable energy industry, It also took advantage of resource development opportunities in the Oil and Gas Industry. They established Akamihk Kanatasky Ventures (which means clean earth) which focus’s on, and not limited to, remediation and reclamation projects in the Oil and Gas Industry. Bradley has a wealth of experience in Governmental Relations, Industry Engagement, Capacity Building, Traditional Knowledge and Wisdom.

He’s learned that First Nation’s people need to build in capacity in order to grow economically, the
social challenges that many of his people face have inspired him to move forward in developing program opportunities. These experiences have inspired him to assist others through the launching of Wapimaskwa Resiliency Ventures.
